The tune "Killing Me Softly" was initially written by songwriter Charles Fox and lyricist Norman Gimbel in the early 70s. It turned into a hit due to the poignant words and soulful melody.


At first, it was sung by the iconic singer Roberta Flack, and her version gained widespread recognition. Many people loved the relaxed rhythm and soulful delivery that provided.
